ABOUT THE PEARLS

The pearls I use in the BernardCohenCollection™ are freshwater cultured baroque pearls. This type of pearl is produced from the response of the host to a tissue implant. Freshwater pearls form in various species of freshwater mussels which live in lakes, rivers, ponds and other bodies of freshwater. Throughout history, pearls have intrigued us. With an innate style, a tactile luxurious touch and lightness, pearl jewelry is a timeless choice. Each pearl is carefully and precisely selected by hand for its beauty, size and luster with the final piece in mind for each customer. Every piece is truly unique and crafted by hand especially for you.
